Clay Gaynor

CLAY GAYNOR
Senior Vice President 
of Marketing

​My career in marketing and hospitality has taken a number of twists and turns: beginning in journalism, followed by a move to a digital marketing agency, then to business school where I caught the hospitality bug as an intern at Choice Hotels between my first and second year. 

​

Upon graduation I started at Hilton, first leading digital marketing for the Hilton brand before moving into the brand marketing organization where I was the head of global marketing for DoubleTree. During that time, I led a rebrand of DoubleTree, launched new advertising campaigns, sent DoubleTree cookie dough to the International Space Station, where it was the first food of any kind baked fresh in space, and drove all-time highs in key brand performance metrics.

Following my time at Hilton I co-founded a brand and marketing agency, working with clients in the hospitality, commercial real estate, and fast casual dining sectors, among others. It was in this capacity I was introduced to Trilogy, working as a consultant on a number of brand and marketing initiatives. Now, I am thrilled to be back in hospitality as a full-time member of the Trilogy team leading our marketing organization, working to further build out Trilogy’s marketing capabilities, and driving business to our growing portfolio of locations.
